Sylvia Knappková, MD, is an experienced anaesthesiologist and intensivist with more than 20 years of experience in anaesthesia, resuscitation and intensive care medicine. During her career she has gained professional experience in leading hospitals in Slovakia and abroad, specializing in perioperative care, intensive care and hemodynamic monitoring of critically ill patients.

She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University in Bratislava in 2000, where she decided to devote herself to anaesthesiology and intensive care medicine. Subsequently, she obtained first degree (2002) and second degree (2006) in this field.

During her career she worked at the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine at the National Institute of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases, later at the clinic in Ružinov, where she gained extensive experience in combined anaesthesia, regional anaesthesia and management of critically ill patients.

From 2007 to 2011, she worked as a senior physician in the intensive care unit at the University Hospital in Prague, where she mastered the management of polytraumatized patients and mini-surgical procedures.

After returning to Slovakia, she joined private clinics where she specialized in safe anesthesia for aesthetic and plastic surgeries. Since 2022 she has been cooperating with several medical institutions within the JZS (Hipcentrum Pezinok, Mediklinik Most pri Bratislave, Eve clinic Bratislava).
